About This Blog

Hi! My name is Lori Anderson and I am the owner, designer, and crafts person of Anderson's Treasures. Anderson's Treasures is a small business selling handmade jewelry, handmade cards, handmade scrapbooks and baby books, bookmarks, magnets, 3D decorations, lighted glass blocks, party, wall, and seasonal decorations...and so on...everything is handmade. I have a shop on Facebook (you will find a link to my shop above) and I also sell locally. I have been crafting for years and really enjoy working with my hands. Designing and crafting jewelry, cards, scrapbooks, etc., is a great creative outlet for me. I have great passion for what I do. The pieces have to speak to me. They have to make sense and evoke emotion. I do become attached to my pieces. I love my pieces. I would never craft an item that I would not wear, use, give, or send myself. Please fill free to take a look around my blog, visit my gallery links for pictures of all my creations, comment, "like", "follow", "share" my posts, drop by my store and perhaps purchase something if you like, and please...tell your frineds!!! ;) If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to either leave a comment, or message me at andersonstreasures@yahoo.com

My Pink Stamper's National Scrapbook Day Challenge # 10

Challenge # 10 was to make a project using a pet. So, this bird is not an actual pet of mine, but he could be considered a pet. With several Birthdays coming up this month at work, I thought I would make another birthday card. I love the background paper...so pretty! ;) This A2 sized Card was made using my Cricut Expression and my Gypsy! ;)

Recipe:

I used my Bloom cartridge to cut these images out at 3.5". The card base was made using plain card stock from Georgia Pacific. The background paper is from the Pastel Garden paper pack from Colorbok. The other card stock that was used were all in my scrap pile. I used Diamond Stickles to add a little something to the center of the flowers on the background paper. I also used a little round bling, I believe from Walmart, for the eye of the bird. The stamp is from the "Greetings Clear Stamps" from TPC Studios. I used Timber Brown StazOn Ink.

My Pink Stamper's National Scrapbook Day Challenge # 9

Challenge # 9 was to use Glitz, Glam, and Glitter in the project.

I needed a Thank You card for our Dining Services Coordinator for cooking our Theme Dinner at work last week. She made us delicious fajitas and enchiladas from scratch for Cinco de Mayo! ;) I made this A2 sized card with my Cricut Expression and my Gypsy.

Recipe:

I used 3 Birds on Parade for my cut outs which were cut at 3.5". My card base is plain card stock from Georgia Pacific. My background card stock is from Tiffany's pack of We R Memory Keepers. The light blue of the bird, and white of the hat is textured paper from ColorBok. The black of the grill and shadow of the bird are from the Non Textured Neutral Pack of ColorBok. The red, dark blue, and yellow were in my scrap pile. The ribbon is from Martha Stewart. I used green Adhesive Faux Pearls from Recollections to add a little something to the ribbon and a faux round bling for the bird's eye...I believe that was from Walmart. I used Crystal Stickles for the glare on the grill.

For the inside of the card, I cut out the phrase "You're Tweet" from 3 Birds on Parade at 2.75".

My Pink Stamper's National Scrapbook Day Challenge # 6

Challenge # 6 was to make a project and incorporate a tag on it.

I made this Birthday Card shaped like a present using my Cricut Expression and my Gypsy. I'm sure I will use this Birthday card for someone at work! ;) This was a fun and easy card to make! ;)

Recipe:

The card measures 5.30" high and 4.11" wide. It fits into an A2 sized envelope. I used Sweet Treats to cut out my shaped card, as well as my layers. These cuts were cut out at 5.30". I used Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More to cut out the tag at 2". My card base in plain white card stock from Georgia Pacific. I used pink and blue textured card stock from the dark pastel textured card stock pack from Colorbok. I used yellow card stock from my scrap pile for the knot and glare on the ribbon. I used beige card stock from the Non Textured Neutral pack from Colorbok for the tag. I used a purple brad to connect the tag to the knot in the bow. The "Happy Birthday" stamp is from the "Greetings Clear Stamps" from TPC Studio. I used Azure colored ink from StazOn.

My Pink Stamper's National Scrapbook Day Challenge # 1

I am so glad that Robyn gave us until tonight to finish and submit our N.S.D. Challenges! I've had a busy weekend and just had time today to start and complete the projects! I really wanted to participate, as this is my first challenge...so I am very excited! ;)There were 12 challenges in all, but I only had time to do 4 of them.

Challenge # 1 was to make anything with cupcakes. I made a Birthday card! ;) I made this A2 sized card with my Cricut Expression and my Gypsy.

Recipe:

I used Gypsy wanderings for both the cupcake and the phrase. Both cuts were cut out at 2.5". I used Diamond Stickles to highlight the icing on the cupcake, and Gold Stickles to highlight the phrase "Happy Birthday". I used Crystal Stickles on some of the green dots, Thistle Stickles on some of the pink dots, and Waterfall Stickles on some of the blue dots on the background paper, just to glam it up a little. My polka dotted background paper is from the Pastel Gardens pack of the Colorbok brand. The  pink card stock for the cupcake is from the Dark Pastels Textured pack of the Colorbok brand. The shadow of the cupcake is a brown card stock from the Non Textured Neutrals pack of the Colorbok brand. The Green card stock was something I had in my scrap pile, so I'm not really sure what brand it is. The blue grosgrain ribbon is the Offray brand. I used lavender Adhesive Faux Pearls from Recollections to accentuate the "H" in "Happy" and the "Y" in Birthday. My card base is plain white card stock from Georgia Pacific.
